Asian and Eurasian countries. The move comes as the port sees a surge in cargo traffic, with container traffic increasing sixfold in FY24 and bulk cargo handling reaching over 2 million tonnes. The Chabahar Port offers several benefits, including a deep draft, operational efficiency, and a strategic location outside the Strait of Hormuz. India is committed to providing facilities at the port as per a long-term contract signed with Iran in May 2023. Despite an MoU signed in 2016, the 700-km Chabahar-Zahedan railway line has yet to see progress. India is considering a renewed involvement in the construction of this railway line to enhance connectivity and make Chabahar the preferred link for traders.

Chabahar Port kai benefits deta hai, jaise ki deep draft, operational efficiency, aur Strait of Hormuz ke bahar strategic location. May 2023 mein Iran ke saath sign kiya gaya ek long-term contract ke mutabiq, India port pe facilities provide karne ke liye committed hai. 2016 mein sign kiya gaya ek MoU ke baavajood, 700-km Chabahar-Zahedan railway line pe abhi tak koi progress nahin hua hai. India is rail line ke construction mein fir se involve hone ka soch raha hai taaki connectivity badh sake aur Chabahar traders ke liye preferred link ban sake.
