They also highlighted the presence of other royal carriages at the Mysuru Rail Museum and the availability of a virtual tour of the Maharaja's Saloon on the Google Art and Culture platform. The coach, built in 1899, was used by Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar and was part of a three-carriage set including the Maharani's coach and a dining-cum-kitchen car. Its undercarriage allowed for use on both broad and metre gauge tracks. The cost of fabrication for each coach was ₹29,508, with the Maharani's coach being built in 1914.

Railway authorities ne September 30, 2024 ke letter mein bola ki Maharaja saloon coach National Rail Museum ke prestigious exhibits mein se ek hai, aur yeh 125 saal se zyada purana hai. Unhone yeh bhi kaha ki long distance transport mein exhibit ko irreparable damage ho sakta hai. Railway Board ke Executive Director, Heritage, Aashima Mehrotra ke communique mein kaha gaya hai ki Mysuru Rail Museum mein Maharani’s Royal Carriage aur ek dining-cum-kitchen car pehle se hi display pe hai. Halaanki authorities ne clearly nahin bola ki shifting ka request reject kar diya gaya hai, lekin local authorities ne communique ke contents se yeh inference nikala hai. Unhone yeh bhi kaha ki Maharaja’s Saloon ka virtual tour Google Art and Culture platform pe sabke liye available hai, jisse yeh saaf ho jaata hai ki Maharaja’s saloon ko shift nahin kiya jaayega.
