Who said the railways were expected to fill up a VB on this route? I have said earlier also that the railways were determined to push the Vande Bharat Express through Keonjhar district and West Singhbhum district. This was done to get Modi votes from both these districts. It doesn't matter if people are traveling on that train or not. Another thing is that the railways are a government enterprise. It doesn't work on a profit basis but on a public benefit basis. If 100 trains are already running on a particular route, running another additional train on that route may get the railways more revenue than running that train through an underdeveloped route where only 4-5 trains are running. But where is a train more required, where 100 trains are already running or where only 4-5 trains are running? And I feel that via Hijli is the worst route. Why should every train run through that terrible Hijli route only? Shouldn't more and more trains start running through the new KDJR route which is less congested and well known for its scenic beauty?
