Bandra Skywalk Dismantling Restarts to Make Way for Metro Line 2B

MMRDA. The skywalk, costing INR 28.74 crore, served 30,000 commuters daily and was a vital link for accessing nearby religious sites, schools, and temples. Although suggestions were made for escalators, they were deemed incompatible with Metro Line 2B construction. The demolition follows the 2019 decision to remove three skywalks on S V Road to facilitate Metro Line II-B.
