Same thing happened during the Aishbagh Manaknagar doubling project. The tracks of NR and NER are in the same place but NR made NER cry by not giving block permission. This ultimately harms us, regular passengers. Because when two zones are in the same place, they clash with each other. If you go 55 km north from Unnao Junction, you hit NER's Lucknow division, go 100 m west and you're in NR's Moradabad division, go 10 km south and bam, you're in NCR's Prayagraj division, and yep, Unnao itself is in NR's Lucknow Division, phew! In just this small section, there are 4 different divisions and 3 different zones just a short distance away. That's why there's so much conflict on this route. When a train is on NR's tracks, NR prioritizes its trains and screws up the others' schedules. When a train reaches NER, they move their trains up the list. And NCR does the same thing.
