more... August 6th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually laid the foundation stone for the Hardoi railway station under the Amrit Bharat Station scheme, initiating the station's renovation. This renovation project will cost ₹30 crore. The agency responsible for the building's transformation has been appointed, but the presence of CCTV cameras and a control room has halted construction. The Divisional Railway Manager of Moradabad, Rajkumar Singh, recently visited Hardoi station and instructed the removal of the CCTV cameras to allow construction to commence. The new building for the control room, being constructed near the railway protection force post on platform 1, is almost complete. The CCTV control room will be set up after officials deem the new building fit for use, expected within one to two weeks. Following this, the construction of the main station building will begin, with the first phase involving the demolition of the area from the canteen to the old building's gate. The Amrit Bharat Station scheme will bring significant improvements to Hardoi station, including the addition of lifts and escalators for passenger convenience.
