where the driver, Manikandan, tragically died. The incident occurred on the Kollam - Thirumangalam road when the truck carrying plywood from Kerala to Thoothukudi toppled onto the railway track. The couple's heroic act earned them a cash reward, a certificate of appreciation, and a Rs 5 lakh financial assistance from the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's relief fund.
