Made to cut travel time, it chugs along

The Coimbatore-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express has faced criticism for its slow travel time and inconvenient timings. Activists and passengers argue that its average speed of 57 km/h is significantly slower than other Vande Bharat trains, like the Coimbatore-Chennai route which covers a greater distance at a faster speed. They suggest...

rescheduling the train's departure times to 6:10 am from Coimbatore and 2:30 pm from Bengaluru, and reducing the total travel time to 5.45 hours. Passengers find the current early morning departure inconvenient, especially for the return journey. Despite the issues, the train has maintained high occupancy rates, with an average of over 80% in January. The BJP MLA from Coimbatore South, Vanathi Srinivasan, has also called for a later departure time from Coimbatore, citing the early morning schedule's inconvenience. Some passengers suggest swapping the routes of the Vande Bharat and Uday Express trains, believing it would allow the Vande Bharat to reach Bengaluru faster via Kuppam and Jolarpet. This swap could also address the concerns about the Vande Bharat's slow travel time through hilly terrain.

Coimbatore aur Bengaluru ke beech chalne wala Vande Bharat Express, apna slow travel time aur inconvenient timing ke liye criticism ka shikar hai. Activists aur passengers ka kehna hai ki iska average speed 57 km/h hai, jo ki dusre Vande Bharat trains se kafi slow hai, jaise Coimbatore-Chennai route, jo ki...

zyada distance ko faster speed pe cover karta hai. Unka suggestion hai ki train ke departure time ko 6:10 am se Coimbatore aur 2:30 pm se Bengaluru kar diya jaaye, aur travel time ko 5.45 hours tak kam kar diya jaaye. Passengers ko current early morning departure time inconvenient lagta hai, khass kar return journey ke liye. Iske saare issues ke baavajood, train ki occupancy rates bahut high rahi hai, January mein average 80% se zyada thi. Coimbatore South se BJP MLA, Vanathi Srinivasan ne bhi Coimbatore se train ke departure time ko late karne ki demand ki hai, unka kehna hai ki current schedule subah bahut early hai. Kuch passengers ne Vande Bharat aur Uday Express trains ke routes ko swap karne ka suggestion diya hai, unka maanana hai ki isse Vande Bharat Kuppam aur Jolarpet ke raste se Bengaluru tak faster pahuch payega. Is swap se Vande Bharat ke hilly terrain se slow travel time ki problem bhi solve ho sakti hai.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
