He addressed the possibility of running regular trains to Ayodhya from Gwalior, stating that there are currently no proposals but they would be considered if one comes up. Meanwhile, BJP District Vice President Sudhir Gupta has appealed for the preservation of the narrow-gauge train engine and coaches, suggesting their use for operating a heritage train to Motijheel. He also requested that the redeveloped railway station be named after Madhavrao Scindia and that a narrow-gauge heritage museum be established.
