These initiatives are expected to boost logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and improve passenger train operations by reducing congestion. Additionally, 40,000 general coaches will be upgraded to 'Vande Bharat' standards for enhanced comfort and safety. The East Central Railway has been allocated 10,754 crore rupees for various projects, including track doubling, new lines, gauge conversion, track renewal, electrification, passenger amenities, road safety, signaling & telecommunication, and traffic facilities.
