MAQ Coaching Depot belongs to SR and a dedicated connection to the state capital is the least that they should be delivering.
Bangalore will be the destination for the highest number of travelers from the city with 1000s of buses and cars plying between the cities each day.
Being...

Not even a MAS-MAQ connection via HAS has ever been on cards for more than 15 years since gauge conversion. Which Zone can we expect to bring the proposal.
NCJ/CAPE are loggerheads with TVC division over the relative lack of facilities in the district or whenever trains like Island/Gurudev/Vivek Exp are proposed but gradually, 12633/34 has come to be supplemented by a fair no. of services.
In case of MAQ, PGT division routinely come up with operational roadblocks (refusing trains into MAQ) and at the Zonal level, SR manages to botch up with decisions like this mindless extension.
If there is a way Padil-MAJN-MAQ line should be separated and handed over to SWR. SR could retain MAJN (which it has not developed beyond a water filling pitstop for trains from the south or short-terminating trains it doesn't want to take) and upto the NMPT siding to maintain contiguity with KR.
PGT division should be alloted the GUV-TCR-SRR section and likewise should withdraw from POY and CNV.
SWR (or KR) wouldn't ensure round-the-clock trains, but they would probably secure for the city's sake, at least one well-patronized dedicated train from SBC.

Bangalore is where most people from the city travel to, and there are thousands of buses and cars going back and forth between the cities every day.
It's not the passengers' fault that they are stuck between three different zones. Instead of blaming other zones, SR should have taken responsibility and started their own train service to Bangalore.
It's been over 15 years since the gauge conversion, and there hasn't even been a connection between MAS-MAQ via HAS. Which zone do we expect to come up with this proposal?
NCJ/CAPE and TVC division are always arguing over the lack of facilities in the district, but gradually, 12633/34 has been supplemented by a good number of services.
When it comes to MAQ, PGT division always creates problems and refuses to let trains into MAQ. And at the Zonal level, SR makes mindless decisions like this pointless extension.
If possible, the Padil-MAJN-MAQ line should be separated and given to SWR. SR can keep MAJN, but they haven't developed it beyond a water filling stop for trains from the south or short-terminating trains that they don't want to take. They can also maintain continuity with KR up to the NMPT siding.
PGT division should take care of the GUV-TCR-SRR section and they should also withdraw from POY and CNV.
SWR (or KR) might not guarantee 24/7 trains, but they would probably make sure that the city has at least one well-used dedicated train from SBC.

Bangalore shehar se sabse jyada logon ka safar honewala hai, rozana hajaaron bus aur gadiyon ke beech ye sair kar rahi hain.
Teen zones ke beech fanswa hona ab sawariyon ki galti nahi hai aur SR ko dusre zone ki bajaye khud Bangalore ke liye train chalani chahiye thi (ya usse bhi aage tak).
15 saal se zyaada hote hue bhi kisi Station ke liye MAS-MAQ sambandh HSA ke through tak kabhi pass nahi hua hai.
MAQ ke case mein, PGT division hamesha operational roadblocks ko samne layi hai (MAQ mein trainon ko inkaar karte hue) aur zone level par, SR aise bevajah extensions ke faisle le leti hai.
Agar ho sakta hai toh Padil-MAJN-MAQ line alag karke SWR ko de diya jaye. SR MAJN (jo ki south se trainon ka water filling stop aur short-terminating trains ka bas chhodne wala station hai) aur KR se contiguity banaye rakhne ke liye NMPT siding tak retain kar sakti hai.
PGT division ko GUV-TCR-SRR section diya jaye aur waise hi POY aur CNV se withdraw kar dein.
SWR (ya KR) 24 ghante chalne wali trains ensure nahi kar sakta, lekin shehar ke liye kam se kam ek aise train ka anumodan kara sakte hain jo jyada logon dwara istemal ho.
