Final location survey for long-awaited Nilambur-Nanjangud railway project begins

The project faced delays due to political changes and a previous viability study on the Thalassery-Mysore rail link that deemed it ‘unviable’. However, the Action Council is optimistic about the project's future, expecting budget allocation for the first phase in the upcoming railway budget. Once complete, this line is expected to connect Kochi with Bengaluru in 7 hours.

Helicopters ka use karke aerial survey shuru ho gaya hai, aur Saturday tak Nilambur se 100 km land cover ho gaya. Survey Sunday tak complete hone ki umeed hai. Project ke liye ladne wala Action Council, central government ko is project ko execute karne ke liye commitment dene ka credit deta hai. Project mein political changes aur Thalassery-Mysore rail link ki viability study, jo isko ‘unviable’ declare ki thi, ki wajah se delay hua tha. Lekin, Action Council project ke future ke bare mein optimistic hai, aur upcoming railway budget mein pehle phase ke liye budget allocation ki umeed hai. Project complete hone ke baad, is line se Kochi aur Bengaluru 7 ghante mein connect ho jayenge.
