The Virar-Dahanu project includes building new platforms and bridges, allowing for faster trains. Once completed, the upgrade will increase capacity, allowing for more frequent train service and the segregation of express and suburban trains.

Project mein Borivali aur Virar ke beech 7 stations ke buildings, offices aur godowns ko relocate karna bhi shamil hai. Project ke liye forest clearance diya gaya hai, lekin wildlife aur soil erosion ko protect karne ke conditions bhi lagaye gaye hain. Virar-Dahanu project mein new platforms aur bridges bhi banaye ja rahe hain, jisse train jaldi chal payengi. Project complete hone ke baad capacity badh jayegi, jisse train service aur frequent ho sakegi aur express aur suburban train ko alag kar payenge.
