Fruit Juice is cheaper in Hyderabad than it is Kolkata. Residential areas like Kacheguda, Malakpet and even city hubs like DSNR and Abids are reasonably cheap!
I wouldn't go on to say that food in HYB is cheaper than KOAA, when it comes to be light on your wallet, nothing comes closer to Calcutta....
However I would definitely advice you to avoid the chilli chickens, samosas and tandooris at first. People at Hyderabad love their food spicy and it may be hard on your stomach at first....certainly was hard on mine at first...
more... :p
Don't miss out the Biriyani at Hyderabad...you would be amazed by the amount they provide :p Unlike the free potato in Kolkata Biriyani, the Hyderabadi biriyani is always by a generous offering of that healthy butter milk :)
While there are several legendary biriyani outlets, my top pick have always been...
1. Paradise Biriyani Kothapet (Beats the original one in Secunderabad in my opinion)
2. Bawarchi RTC roads ( Value for money, tastes really good, and the offering are very generous)
3. Cafe Bahar ( This one is actually close to KCG so you can try it out)
