Option-1 convert it into a JS for better patronage, Extn to R or Durg difficult as proposed timing is already too aggressive(4'55" for 318km) for super saturated, partly single line & mountaineous BSP-KTE section. Still the patronage may be a bit better with availability of non ac accomodation.
Option-II convert it into overnight I/C train JBP dep 22:45 USL/BSP-dep 6:00 R-dep 7:40 Durg-arr 8:30 (Return- Durg-d20:15 R-d 21:05 USL/BSPd- 22:55 JBP 6:00). But after completion of ongoing JBP-Gondia gauge conversion (3 years), R(397km against 520km) & Durg (360km vs 556km) will have a shorter option for JBP via Gondia.
