Sainagar is a very well maintained station with ample facilities.
1. Platform: Only one platform is operational (in 2015) and hence there is no need to walk thorough an over bridge.
2. Waiting Rooms: There are three waiting rooms. The General waiting room has three separate toilets for Ladies, Gents and a separate one for the Handicapped persons. The General waiting room is very spacious and can accommodate about 50 people at one time. While we visited this station, the General waiting room was far better and cleaner than the upper class waiting...

3. Getting to the temple: Tum-Tum auto rickshaws are available 24X7 at the station. You should pay 20-30 Rs per seat and don't pay more than that. They sometimes demand Rs 100 but don't be fleeced. We paid 25 Rs per seat for reaching our hotel at 4 am which was in the interior lanes, 10 minutes from the temple. It takes 15 minutes by an auto rickshaw to reach the temple.
4. Food: There is one small shop at the station which sells Rail Neer water bottles and some biscuits. You don't get much snacks at this shop. Pulav is packed and sold by private vendors at the station after 8 pm which costs Rs. 30 per plate. It tastes average. Tea vendors would be present at the station throughout the day.
5. Security: RPF's are stationed 24X7 at this station and hence this station has good security.
6. Drinking water: A water cooler is provided near the ladies waiting room for the convenience of the passengers.
Final TIP: It has become way more convenient to get to shirdi after the Sainagar station became operational.
