Grievance Description : I travelled in 19143 Lokshakti Express from Borivali to Ahemdabad on my Tatkal ticket with PNR XXXXXXXXX on April 4, 2014. On boarding train there were about 8 people already sitting on my berth. On enquiry I realized that they all are daily commuters from Virar, Palghar, Saphale Boisar and were not having a reserved ticket. They were standing in entire passage in the train. A lady, my co-passenger, had to drag her luggage from such crowd and had to face even some bitter words from ticketless travelers. Even after five passengers out of six with eligible tickets came and occupied their seats in a compartment, the other passengers forced us to allow 3 of them to sit making a congested sitting space, despite paying reservation and extra tatkal fare. We looked for TTE to complaint, but he was not visible any where in next 2 coaches on either side nor was any RPF-GRP policeman. In fact, TTE never checked our tickets till we reached Ahemdabad. I wish to know the following: 1. Why TTE and on board RPF do not make such ticketless passengers de board the reserved coaches? 2. Why no action against such ticketless travelers is taken by Railway authorities? 3. How much fine has been collected from 19143 Lokshakti Express from ticketless travelers in last 3 months? Awaiting response from your end. -Regards, *****
