StarcAndRussellWillDefeat 1680 blog postsFacilities for Rake Reversal procedure at Bareilly Junction must be developed so that Trains from Bhojipura Jn. line can go towards Moradabad via Rampur Jn. shorter route of 91 kms rather than going via Chandausi Jn. longer route of 113 kms. It will save Atleast 25-30 mins of journey time. 12035/12036 then can cover DLI-TPU distance of 372.21 kms in 7 hours, rather than covering 391 kms in 9.5 hours.
In future bypass line will make from Bareilly City Station or Izzatnagar Station
I have couple of questions regarding this train. If they had to run a train with so many stoppages, then why not run a normal ICE service with extra unreserved coaches? Why a Janshatabdi with dedicated reserved coaches only. I am sure many pax from intervening stations would love some UR coaches in this train.
Second, why not an overnight train between Tanakpur and Delhi? If you are giving an only connection b/w two cities and it takes ~10 hrs, then the proper way is to try for an overnight one. Sure,...

Pehle normal exp hi thi. Phir 2021 me drama hua Janshatabdi conversion wala.
Just for few extra bucks converted to Janshatabdi, otherwise its a fast passenger only.

They should convert this train into a passenger train giving ICF rake instead these LHB rakes can be given to some other SF or M/E train.
These rakes are needed for Uttrakhand Sampark Kranti both link pairs RMR & KGM
Majority of ICE trains in India run faster than this 'Jan Shatabdi'. With such a short rake, it seems so that not much daily demand is there either. With ~10 hrs journey, I wonder why they didn't go for an overnight train then. They had to connect Tanakpur with the national capital [the only other state capital that it is connected to with daily is Lucknow], but the choice chosen is bad. Sleeper coaches would be better in this regard. Atleast the upper berth passengers can sleep. And Side Lower in SL is way better than 2nd Sitting style.
