Amidst the trend of speed upgradation to 130kmph, more LHB & new WAP 7 allotment, there lies in a corner an endangered gem of SER Kharagpur division.

The bridge at Rajalukah
The 2'6' gauge South Eastern Railway branch from Rupsa to Bangriposi is an all time favourite of mine, and was operated by a fleet of smart Edwardian 4-6-2s. CC 666 (built North British, Glasgow 1906) was in its 73rd year of services when I photographed it in January 1979 near Rajalukah while working an extra service between Baripada and Bangriposi.
