Kerala is facing an issue with overcrowded trains due to a lack of Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) services for short-distance travel. travel kar payenge. Currently, Kerala mein 12 MEMU trains hain, aur inme se 8 trains har hafte repair ke liye out of service hoti hain. Yeh problem isliye hai kyunki Integral Coach Factory, jo ki old models ko replace karne ke liye new MEMU coaches banata hai, woh kaafi new coaches nahi ban paa raha hai. Kerala mein, other regions ke muqabale mein, MEMU trains ki kami hai. Sirf 10 MEMU trains hi fully operational hain. Kannur aur Mangaluru ke beech 132 km ka MEMU service bhi band hai. Currently, 5 trains ke liye 12 rakes (coaches) hain, aur baki 5 trains ke liye 8 coaches hain. Ek three-phase MEMU rake mein, 3,600 passengers baith sakte hain, jo ki seated aur standing dono hain.
